Pilipinas tatanggap ng P117-M education grant mula Japan

Nakatakdang tumanggap ng education aid ang Pilipinas mula sa Japan.

Ito ay matapos pirmahan ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) ang 264 million yen o P117.5 million na education grant.

Ayon sa JICA, sa ilalim ng kasunduan, dalawampung Filipino government workers ang kukuha ng post-graduate economic courses sa University of Japan, Kobe University, Meiji University, International Christian University at Nagoya University.

Kabilang sa mga course na iaalok ay infrastructure and industry development, public policy, financial reforms, at small and medium enterprises promotion.

Ayon pa sa JICA, sa ngayon ay nasa 259 na Pinoy na ang binigyan ng Japan scholarship grants.

Itinuturing na kaalyado ng Pilipinas ang Japan, at nanindigan din si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe na mas pagtitibayin pa ang relasyon ng dalawang bansa.
