Mas bukas na pakikipagdayalogo sa CBCP, inaasahan ng Malacañang

Umaasa ang Malacañang na magkakaroon ng mas magandang relasyon ang pamahalaan at ang Simbahang Katolika, ngayong may bago nang pinuno ang Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).

Sa pagkakahalal kay Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles bilang bagong CBCP president, umaasa ang Malacañang na magkakaroon sila ng mas bukas na pakikipagdayalogo at pakikipagtulungan sa Simbahan.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella, isa itong senyales ng panibagong araw ng kapayapaan para sa “multi-cultural Philippines.”

Aniya pa, naniniwala silang ang pagiging pamilyar ni Valle sa Mindanao ay makabubuti para sa bansa dahil nais nilang isulong ang interfaith dialogue at intercultural understanding bilang bahagi ng mga hakbang sa rehabilitasyon ng Marawi City.
