Sen. de Lima, nahaharap sa isa pang arrest warrant

Nahaharap si Senadora Leila de Lima sa isa pang arrest warrant para sa kasong illegal drug trading.

Isa pang korte sa Muntinlupa City ang naglabas ng arrest warrant laban kay de Lima kaugnay ng alegasyon na pinabayaan nito ang kalakalan ng droga sa New Bilibid Prison noong siya ang kalihim ng Department of Justice.

Noong June 21 ay naglabas ng arrest warrant si Judge Amelia Fabros-Corpuz ng Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court Branch 205 laban sa senadora at kapwa-akusado nito na si Jose Adrian Dera alyas Jad de Vera.

Kinumpirma ito ng kampo ni de Lima pero sinabi ni Atty. Alexander Padilla na hihilingin nila sa korte na i-recall ang arrest order.

Ayon kay Padilla, ang tinutukoy na kaso ang pinakamahina sa tatlong drug-relataed cases na isinampa laban kay de Lima ng Department of Justice sa Muntinlupa RTC.

Nahaharap din ang senadora sa ibang illegal drug trading cases sa sala nina Judge Patria Manalastas-De Leon ng Branch 206 at Judge Juanita Guerrero ng Branch 204 na unang nag-utos ng pag-aresto at pagkakulong ni de Lima noong February 23.

Nakakulong ngayon ang senadora sa PNP Custodial Center sa Camp Crame.
