AFP, hiniling sa Facebook na i-take down ang accounts ng mga tagasuporta ng Maute group

Sa panayam ng Radyo Inquirer sinabi ni AFP spokesman B/Gen. Restituto Padilla na nagpapakalat ng propaganda ang may-ari ng mga accounts na kanilang pinapa-take down.

Sinabi ni Padilla na supportive naman sa kanila at positibo ang tugon ng pamunuan ng Facebook sa kahilingan.

Samantala, sa press brieifing sa Marawi City, sinabi ni Lt. Col. Jo-Ar Herrera, tagapagsalita ng 1st infantry division ng Philippine Army na 63 accounts ang pinaiimbestigahan nila sa Facebook.

Karamihan umano sa accounts ay pawang dummy lamang at ginagamit para mag-post at mag-share ng mga propaganda na naka-aapekto naman sa military operations.

“We would like also to appeal to Facebook Philippines for an investigation …and undertake necessary measures to investigate the 63 Facebook accounts that are being utilized by the Maute and their sympathizers because these 63 accounts are spreading malicious and misleading information and disinformation that affect the information landscape and the mindset of people,” ayon kay Herrera.
