BSP Governor Tetangco, nanguna sa listahan ng highest paid government officials

Inilabas ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang report nito kaugnay sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno na may pinakamalalaking sweldo.

Batay sa Report on Salaries and Allowances (ROSA) ng COA, karamihan sa mga nasa top 10 highest paid government officials noong 2016 ay mula sa Bangko Sentral ng ilipinas (BSP).

Katunayan si outgoing BSP Governor Amando M. Tetangco Jr. ang nangunguna sa listahan na kumita ng P15.912 million noong nakaraang taon.

Ayon sa report, tumanggap si Tetangco ng P7.8 million na basic salary, P24,000 na halaga ng honorariums, P2.778 million na allowances, P2.969 million na bonuses at P1.039 million na halaga ng discretionary and extraordinary miscellaneous expenses.

Pitong iba pang matataas na opisyal ng BSP ang napasama sa top 10.

Nasa pangalawang pwesto si BSP Deputy Governor for Supervision and Examination Sector Nestor Espenilla Jr., na kumita ng P12.282 million.

Si BSP Deputy Governor for Monetary Stability Sector Diwa Gunigundo ang nasa ikatlong pwesto na mayroong earnings na P12.248 million.

Ikaapat si BSP Deputy Governor for Resource Management Sector Vicente Aquino ranked fourth na mayroong P12.145 million.

Nasa panglimang pwesto naman si Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President Robert Vergara, na tumanggap ng P13.449 million.

Habang nasa ikaanim at ikapitong pwesto ang board members ng BSP na sina Juan de Zuñiga Jr. (P8.451 million) at Felipe Medalla (P8.375 million).

Si Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairperson Teresita Herbosa ang pangwalo na tumanggap ng P8.339 million, at pangsiyam si BSP Assistant Governor Ma. Ramona Gertrudes Santiago na mayroong P8.292 million.

Habang ang pangsampu ay isa pang board member ng BSP na si Valentin Araneta na mayroon namang P8.226 million.

Kabilang sa sinusuri sa ROSA ang halaga ng sweldo at allowances na tinatanggap ng mga cabinet officials, principal officers at miyembro ng GOCCs, at iba pang opisyal ng national government agencies.

Hindi naman isinasama sa report ang kita ng presidente, senator, kongresista at mga local government officials.
