Red carpet opening ng 22nd French Film Festival na gaganapin sana sa Taguig, kinansela
Inanunsyo ng French Embassy sa Pilipinas ang pagkansela ng pagbubukas ng French Film Festival dahil sa “security reasons”.
Batay sa abiso, sinabi ng embahada na hindi na matutuloy ang red carpet opening night ng 22nd French Film Festival na dapat ay magaganap bukas, June 8, 6:00 p.m. sa Central Square, Bonifactio Flobal City.
“It is with regret that the Embassy of France to the Philippines, following the advice of its partners and sponsors, has deemed it best, for security reasons, to cancel the red carpet opening night of the 22nd French Film Festival on June 8, 2017, 6:00 pm at Central Square, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig,” ayon sa pahayag.
Bagaman hindi nagbigay ng partikular na dahilan, sinabi sa statement na para sa “security reasons” at dahil sa mga kaganapan kamakailan ay mabuting hindi na lang muna magdaos ng malalaking pagtitipon gaya ng nasabing festival.
Bagaman hindi itutuloy ang red carpet, tuloy naman ang regular screenings ng mga kalahok na pelikula mula June 9 hanggang 17 sa Greenbelt 3 at sa Bonifacio High Street.
Noong nakanap ang pag-atake sa Resorts World Manila, nagpalabas ng abiso sa kanilang mga mamamayan ang French Embassy.
Pinayuhan ng embahada ang mga mamamayan nila na nasa Pilipinas na iwasan ang palibot ng Resorts World at mga kapalit na lugar noong kasagsagan ng pag-atake.
