Accreditation ng Resorts World, rerebisahin ng DOT
Matapos ang insidente noong Biyernes, ipinag-utos ni Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo ang pagbusisi sa accreditation ng Resorts World.
Ayon kay DOT Undersecretary Ricky Alegre, isasailalim nila sa review ang accreditation ng Resorts World gayundin ang iba pang hotel o kahalintulad na pasilidad.
Kabilang sa bubusisiin ay ang security process ng Resorts World at ng mga multi-facility establishment na gaya nito.
“The security concern must be felt. It has to be serious and I think it has to be reviewed. What happened to RW compels us to review the security process of multi-facility establishment like Resorts World,” ayon kay Alegre.
Itinuturing naman ng DOT na ‘temporary setback’ sa industriya ng turismo sa bansa ang nangyari sa Resorts World at ang kaguluhan sa Marawi City.
Samantala, inatasan naman na ni PAGCOR Chairperson Andrea Domingo ang pamunuan ng Resorts World na isumite ang lahat ng CCTV fotages sa ginawang pag-atake ng gunman na si Jessie Javier Carlos.
Ayon kay Domingo, bahagi ng kanilang imbestigasyon ang pagtukoy kung may sapat bang seguridad sa Resorts World, competence ng mga staff nito, kakayahan sa pagtugon sa insidente ng sunog at iba pa.
