AFP, walang planong irekomendang isama ang ilegal na droga sa martial law

Walang balak ang Armed Forces of the Philippines na irekomenda kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ipasakop na rin sa idineklarang martial law sa Mindanao ang problema sa ilegal na droga.

Paliwanag ni AFP spokesman Brigadier General Restituto Padilla, malinaw ang nakasaad sa konstitusyon na maari lamang magdeklara ang pangulo ng bansa kapag may rebellion o invasion.

Ayon kay Padilla, ang nangyari sa Marawi City kung saan nakabakbakan ng tropa ng pamahalaan ang Maute group ay pasok sa kasong rebelyon at partly invasion.

Matatandaang idineklara ng pangulo ang martial law noong May 23 at tatagal ng animnapung araw.

Inatasan ng pangulo si AFP chief of staff General Eduardo Año bilang implementor ng martial law habang si Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana naman ang administrator.
