Hiling na joint session para talakayin ang martial law, ibinasura sa Senado

Tuluyan nang ibasura ng Senado ang panukalang isalang sa joint session ng dalawang kapulungan ang deklarasyon ng martial law ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa buong Midnanao region.

Sa botong 12-9, isinantabi na ng Senado ang Senate resolution no. 390 kung saan hinihiling ng minority bloc ang pagsasagawa ng joint session upang talakayin ang naturang deklarasyon.

Kabilang sa mga bumoto laban sa joint session sina Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III, Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III, Senador Sonny Angara, Nancy Binay, JV Ejercito, Richard Gordon, Gregorio Honasan, Panfilo Lacson, Loren Legarda, Manny Pacquiao, Cynthia Villar at Migz Zubiri.

Ang siyam naman na nais isulong ang resolusyon ay kinabibilangan nina Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto, Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, Senador Bam Aquino, Chiz Escudero, Sherwin Gatchalian, Risa Hontiveros, Kiko Pangilinan, Grace Poe at Antonio Trillanes IV.
