Martial law sa Mindanao tinalakay sa closed-door session sa Senado

Nagsasagawa ng closed-door briefing ang mga senador hinggil sa idineklarang martial law ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa executive lounge ng Senado.

Pasado alas-tres ng hapon nang mag-umpisa ang executive session na pinangunahan ni Senate President Koko Pimentel.

Dumalo sa briefing ang mga matataas na opisyal ng Department of National Defense sa pangunguna nina Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. kasama ng iba pang top brass ng Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Samantala, pormal nang naghain ng resolusyon ang minorya sa Senado upang hilingin sa pamunuan ang pagdaraos ng joint session para busisiin ang idineklarang martial law ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Mindanao.

Pirmado nina Senators Francis Pangilinan, Franklin Drilon, Risa Hontiveros, Antonio Trillanes at Bam Aquino ang tatlong pahinang resolusyon
