Implementasyon ng anti-distracted driving act suspendido na

Distracted drivingSinuspinde na ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang implementasyon ng Anti-Distracted Driving Act (ADDA).

Kasunod ito ng pag-kuwestiyon ng ng House Commitee on Transportation sa pagpapatupad nito sa ADDA nang hindi dumadaan sa anim na buwang information campaign tulad ng nakasaad sa batas, partikular sa Republic Act (RA) number 10913.

Ayon kay Land Transportarion Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Spokesperson Atty. Aileen Lizada, susunod sila sa kung ano ang gusto ng mga may akda ng batas na ang House Commitee on Transportation.

Pansamantala, tututukan muna ng DOTr ang pagpapakalat ng impormasyon sa ADDA.

Sa ilalim ng section 7 ng anti-distracted driving act, ang DOTr at ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) katulong ang Philippine Information Agency,  Department of Education,  Department of Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, mga private agencies at  organizations ay dapat na magsagawa ng nationwide information, education at communication campaign sa loob ng anim na buwan mula nang maging epektibo ang batas.

Una nang hinikayat ng mga senador ang DOTr na pansamantalang ipahinto ang ADDA dahil sa nakakalitong implementing rules and regulation na ginawa para dito.
