E.O para sa nationwide smoking ban nilagdaan na ng pangulo

Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang executive order number 26 na nagpapatupad ng nationwide smoking ban.

Ito ang kinumpirma ng tanggapan ni Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea.

Nabatid na noong May 16 nilagdaan ng pangulo ang nasabing kautusan.

Sinabi naman ni Health Sec. Paulyn Ubial na napapanahon ang paglagda ng pangulo sa nationwide smoking ban lalo’t gugunitain ang “world no tobacco day “ sa May 31.

Sa ilalim ng kautusan bawal ang paninigarilyo sa mga pampublikong lugar, indoor man o outdoor.

Noong panahon ng kampanya ay sinabi ni Duterte na gusto niyang ipatupad sa buong bansa ang smoking ban na nauna na nilang pinagtibay sa Davao City.

Hindi na sinabi ang petsa para sa aktuwal na implementasyon ng kautusan dahil kailangan pang ilathala sa mga pahayagan ang mga detalye ng nasabing executive order.

 

Ang pangulo ay dating heavy smokers kung saan niya na kuha ang kanyang Buerger’s disease.
