gina lopezTumaas ang halaga ng mining stocks matapos na ideklara ng Commission on Appointments ang pagbasura sa appointment ni Environment Secretary Gina Lopez.

Ilang sandali matapos ang rejection ng appointment ng Kalihim, tumaas ng 2.73 percent ang mining at oil index na nagsara sa 12,772.81.

Ito lamang ang subindex na nananatiling mataas kahapon.

Nakapagtala ng pinakamataas na pagtalon ng stock prices ang Apex Mining na tumaas ng 18.24 percent, Benguet Corp. na tumaas ng 15 percent, A and B shares at Oriental Peninsula Resources na nakapagtala ng 13.19 percent increase.

Tumaas rin ang 12 percent ang shares ng Bright Kindle resources na isang holding company ng nickel miner na Marcventures Holdings Inc.

Umani naman ng 8.42 percent increase ang Lepanto Consolidated samantalang ang affiliate nito na Manila Mining at nagtala ng 8.33 percent increase.

Sa botong 16-8, ibinasura kahapon ng Senado ang appointment ni Secretary Lopez na labis nitong ikinadismaya.
