ASEAN, gusto ng ‘code of conduct’ sa South China Sea

Asean50bGusto ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) ng isang binding code of conduct para sa mga claimants sa South China Sea sa pagtatapos ng taon.

Ayon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, gusto ng ASEAN ang pagkakaroon ng code of conduct bago matapos ang
taon para ang lahat ay maging panatag sa paglalayag sa lugar.

Dagdag pa ng pangulo na kung hindi ito maisasakatuparan ay mananatiling “flash point” ang South China Sea.

Kaugnay nito, umaabot sa 5 trillion dollars na halaga ng mga produkto ang dumadaan kada taon sa South China
Sea.

Sinabi rin ng pangulo na ang ibang “flash points” sa mundo ay ang Korean Peninsula at Middle East.
