3 British nationals na sangkot sa bigtime investment scam, arestado ng NBI-Interpol sa Cavite
Arestado ng NBI-Interpol ang tatlong Bristish national na nasa likod ng bigtime investment scam sa bansa.
Iniharap ni NBI Director Ferdinand Lavin ang mga suspect na sina Andrew Robson, Graham Allan Bennet at Dominic Whellams na operators ng kumpanyang Plustel Solutions Inc.
Naaresto ang mga suspect sa kanilang opisina sa Carmona, Cavite sa bisa ng search warrant na ipinalabas ng korte sa Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
Arestado rin ang 35 Pinoy na huli sa aktong kasama sa iligal na pagbebenta ng mga stocks at securities sa mga dayuhan sa pamamagitan ng telepono.
Ayon kay Dir. Lavin, malaki ang negatibong epekto ng investment scam ng mga nahuling Briton sa imahe ng Pilipinas sa mga investors abroad at sa labor market ng bansa.
Nahaharap ang mga suspect sa mga kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 8799 o Securities Regulation Code at Republic Act 10175 o Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
