CPP, hindi na rin muna magdedeklara ng unilateral ceasefire
Wala na rin munang balak ang Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) na magdeklara ng unilateral ceasefire.
Sa ngayon, sumang-ayon ang political arm ng CPP na National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) sa desisyon ng pamahalaan na hintayin na lang muna na magkasundo sila sa bubuuing bilateral ceasefire agreement.
Una nang sinabi ni government chief negotiator Sivestre Bello III na hindi magdedeklara ang pamahalaan ng unilateral ceasefire tulad ng unang balak ng NDFP.
Gayunman, kinumpirma ni NDFP Chair Fidel Agcaoili na hindi na nila itutuloy ito dahil magmumukha naman silang mangmang kung magdedeklara sila ng unilateral ceasefire pero ang pamahalaan ay hindi.
Lalabag din aniya ito sa principles of parity and reciprocity sa pagitan ng mga partido.
Samantala, nakatakda ang ika-apat na round ng peace talks sa Abril sa Netherlands.
