Tigil-operasyon na hiling ng NDFP sa Bukidnon tinanggihan ng AFP

Tinanggihan ng militar ang hiling ng National Democratic Front of the Philippines na magkaroon ng sampung araw na suspensyon ng military operations sa lalawigan ng Bukidnon.

Hiniling ito ng NDFP para sa ligtas na pagpapalaya nila sa isang pulis na isang buwan nang bihag ng mga rebelde.

Ayon kay 4th Infantry Division spokesperson Capt. Joe Patrick Martinez, nagagalak sila na palalayain na ng mga rebelde si PO2 Anthony Natividad ng Kalilangan police.

Gayunman, iginiit nila na hindi nila maaring suspindehin ang kanilang mga operasyon laban sa New People’s Army.

Sinabi ni 4th ID commander Maj. Gen. Benjamin Madrigal, patuloy pa rin ang panggugulo ng NPA sa Bukidnon kaya kailangan nilang panatilihin ang kanilang presensya sa nasabing lugar.
