Mga dating opisyal ng Petron lusot sa graft charges

Ibinasura na ng Sandiganbayan 4th Division ang kasong katiwalian laban sa apat na dating opisyal ng Petron Corporation kaugnay ng tax credit scam.

Sa resolusyong inisyu ng korte, lusot na sa kaso sina Monico Jacob, Celso Legarda, Apolinario Reyes at Rafael Diaz Jr.

Pinagbatayan ng anti-graft court ang naunang desisyon ng Korte Suprema na nagsabing walang katiwalian sa pagbili ng Petron sa mga iregular na tax credit certificates.

Nabatid na ang mga tax credit certificates o TCC ay binili ng Petron sa labing walong garment firms.

Nakuha naman ng garment firms ang kanilang TCC sa Department of Finance, gamit ang mga kahina-hinalang dokumento.

Sa tax credit scam, tinatayang aabot sa P2.5 Billion ang nawalang kita ng gobyerno halos isang dekada na ang nakakalilipas.
