Impeachment complaint laban kay Robredo, walang basehan ayon kay Drilon

Iginiit ni Liberal Party Vice chairman Sen. Franklin Drilon na walang basehan ang paghahain ng impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Leni Robredo.

Kaugnay ito ng naging pahayag ni House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez na kanyang pinag-aaralan ang paghahain ng impeachment complaint laban kay Robredo dahil sa “betrayal of public trust” nito.

Matatandaan na nag-record ng isang video message si Robredo para sa 60th United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs annual meeting sa Vienna, Austria.

Iniulat dito ni Robredo na mahigit 7,000 katao na ang napatay sa anti-drug campaign ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Dagdag pa dito ang isyu ng ‘palit-ulo scheme’ kung saan kung hindi makita ang taong nasa drug list ay ipapalit dito ang asawa o kamag-anak nito ang dadamputin.

Naniniwala si Alvarez na dahil sa mga naging pahayag ni Robredo ay nagkaroon ng negatibong imahe ang Pilipinas na aniya ay nagresulta sa betrayal of public trust.
