Pinaslang na voluneer doctor, kinilala bilang Bayani ng Kalusugan
Kinilala ng Department of Health ang pinaslang na doktor na si Dreyfuss Perlas bilang ‘Bayani ng Kalusugan.’
Ang parangal na ito ay sinimulang igawad noong 2016 para sa mga indibidwal at organisasyon na nagbigay ng kapuri-puring kontribusyon sa universal health care.
Ipinresenta ni DOH Undersecretary Enrique Tayag ang posthumous award sa ama ni Perlas at municipal councilor na si Dennis Perlas, ina na si Leovigilda Bolivar-Perkas, at kapatid na si Louella Perlas-Patricio.
May kalakip na 200,000 piso ang parangal.
Noong March 1, tinambangan si Dreyfuss sa Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte.
Nagsilbi siyang health officer sa Sapad sa Lanao del Norte. Naitalaga ang doktor na tubong Aklan sa ilalim ng programang ‘Doctors to Barrios’ noong 2012.
Inaalam pa ng mga otoridad ang motibo sa insidente.
