BOC, nasabat ang 8,000 kilong sangkap sa paggawa ng shabu

Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang hindi baba sa 8,000 kilo ng hydrochloric acid na mula sa India sa Mindanao Container Terminal  (MCT) ng tangkain itong ipasok sa bansa.

Naharang ang naturang shipment sa MCT sa Tagoloan sub-port sa Misamis Oriental kung saan nasa P569,826.40 ang idineklarang halaga nito.

Ang HCL ay isa sa 13 toxic ingredients na karaniwang ginagamit sa paggawa ng crystal meth o shabu.

Ayon kay Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon ang naturang 8,000 kilo o 320 na drum ng HCL ay nasa loob ng apat na 20-footer container van na-consigned sa Juchem Enterprises na may address na Purok 13 Pulido Street, Barangay Doongan, Butuan City.

Sinabi naman ni Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) Director Neil Anthony Estrella na nadiskubre ang nasabing shipment dahil sa wala itong kaukulang import permits at mga clearance sa pag-import ng mga controlled substances.
