P480 Million na halaga ng droga sinunog ng PDEA
Mahigit na P473 Million na halaga ng iligal na droga ang sinunog ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Ang droga na kinabibilangan ng shabu, liquid methamphetamine, cocaine, ketamine, marijuana, ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, ecstasy, methylephedrine, methylphenidate, lorazepam, nitrazepam, clonazepam, alprazolam, heroin, codeine at expiredna gamot na may kabuuang bigat na mahigit na 329 na kilo ay sinira ng PDEA sa pamamagitan ng thermal decomposition
Ayon kay PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña, ang mga nasabing iligal na droga ay binubuo ng mga nakumpiska ng PDEA at mga itinurn over sa kanila ng mga partner drug law enforcement agencies na hindi na kailangan bilang ebidensya sa korte.
Ang pagsira sa mga nasabing ebidensya ay ginawa sa Integrated Waste Management Inc. (IWMI) sa Barangay Aguado, Trece Martirez City, Cavite at sinaksihan ng mga opisyal ng PDEA at iba pang drug enforcement agency mula sa Dept of Justice (DOJ), Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), Pubic Attorney’s Office, mga Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) at mga mamamahayag.
Panauhing pandangal sa nasabing aktibidad si Senator Panfilo Lacson, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.
Sa kabuuan, umaabot na sa P2.2 Billion na halaga ng droga at P3.1 million pesos na halaga ng mga kemikal na ginagamit sa paggawa ng shabu ang sinira na PDEA sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Director General Lapeña.
