Aguirre hindi sangkot sa BI bribery scandal – Sombero
Inabswelto ni retired police official Wally Sombero si Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II sa mga bintang na may kinalaman ito sa P50-million bribery scandal sa Bureau of Immigration (BI).
Matapos makabalik sa bansa mula sa Canada, dumeretso si Sombero sa kaniyang bahay sa West Crame sa Quezon City at doon nagbigay ng pahayag sa media.
Ayon kay Sombero, wala siyang nalalaman na may koneksyon si Aguirre sa extortion scandal na kinakaharap ng BI.
“For the record, I have no knowledge of any connection or links that the Secretary (Aguirre) is involved in this extortion scandal,” sinabi ni Sombero.
Sa mga isinagawang pagdinig sa senado, inakusahan ni Senator Antonio Trillanes IV si Aguirre na may kinalaman din sa pagtanggap ng suhol mula sa Chinese gaming tycoon na si Jack Lam.
Mariin naman itong itinanggi ng kalihim.
Hindi naman na sinagot ni Sombero ang iba pang mga katanungan ng media at sinabing ilalahad na lamang niya sa senate hearing ang kaniyang mga nalalaman.
