Finance officer ng NPA sa Negros Island Region, arestado
Isang hinihinalang finance officer ng Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) ang naaresto ng mga pulis at sundalo sa Negros Island Region.
Nakilala ang suspek na si Regina Navaroo, alyas Regiona Quilop at Ka Jhea, na naaresto noong Martes sa Barangay 10 sa Bacolod.
Ayon kay Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief S/Supt. Francisco Esguerra ng Negros Island Region (Region 18), si Navarro ay nagsisilbing deputy secretary ng regional finance bureau ng CPP-NPA Negros regional committee.
Dagdag pa ni Esguerra, nahaharap rin sa kasong murder sa Cadiz City Regional Trial Court Branch 60 si Navarro kaya ito inaresto.
Dinala na sa CIDG headquarters sa Camp Alfred Montelibano Sr. si Navarro para sa interrogation, bago siya i-turn over sa korte.
Samantala, sinabi ni CIDG director Chief Supt. Roel Obusan na nakikipag-ugnayan na sila sa Bureau of Immigration upang mabantayan ang mga kinaroroonan ng mga consultants ng CPP-NPA at ng National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).
