Sec. Aguirre aminado na talamak ang katiwalian sa DOJ
Ipinag-utos ni Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II na imbestigahan na ang kaso ng ‘case fixing’ sa Cagayan de Oro City Prosecutor’s Office.
Nilagdaan ni Aguirre ang isang department order matapos ang panunuhol umano kay Gerard Abejo, Administrative Aide IV ng Office of the City Prosecutor ng Cagayan de Oro.
Batay sa administrative complaints na inihain nina Jennifer Jamito, Josie Bustamante at Verna Ravidas, humingi ng P350,000 na suhol mula kina Bustamante at Jamito si Abejo kapalit ang pag-dismiss sa ng kasong rape at qualified anti-child pornography laban sa kanilang mga anak.
Inaresto na ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group si Abejo dahil dito.
Itinanggi naman ni Abejo ang alegasyon na ito at sinabing ibabalik niya rin sa complainants ang hiniging P350,000.
Inatasan ni Aguirre si Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Lilian Doris Alejo na hawakan ang kaso laban kay Abejo.
