Tatlong rebeldeng sundalo ang itinalaga ni Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon bilang mga opisyal ng Bureau of Customs (BOC).
Base sa Customs Personnel Order na may petsang January 11, 2017 na pirmado ni Faeldon itinalaga nito sina dating Army Capt. Gerardo Gambala bilang Deputy Commissioner, dating Navy Lt. Sg. James Layug bilang director sa Port Operations Services at dating Army Capt. Milo Maestrecampo bilang director sa Import and Assessment Service.
Ang pagtatalaga sa mga ito ayon kay Faeldon ay upang mapunan ang bakanteng puwesto sa BOC.
Sina Gambala, Layug at Maestrecampo ay kasama nina Faeldon at Senator Antonio Trillanes IV sa kanilang pag-aalsa laban kay Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo noong July 2003.
Maliban sa tatlong dating sundalo, pinanumpa na rin ni Faledon sa pwesto ang iba pang mga bagong hirang na opisyal ng Customs.
Kasama dito sina Maritess Martin na bagong District Collector sa Port of Clark; Atty. Elvira Cruz, District Collector sa Port of Cebu, Atty. Anthony Estrella, Director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service at Atty. Alvin Ebreo, Director for Legal Service ng Revenue Collection and Monitoring Group.
