Biyahe ng LRT line 2, nagka-aberya, nagpatupad ng shortened operation
Nagpatupad ng provisionary service o shortened operation ang line 2 ng Light Rail Transit (LRT).
Ayon sa abiso ng LRTA management, may nilipad na tarpaulin at pumulupot ito sa catenary wire ng tren sa pagitan ng V. Mapa at Pureza Station.
Dahil sa nasabing insidente, halos isang oras na Santolan hanggang Cubao Station lamang at pabalik ang naging biyahe ng LRT line 2 habang itinigil muna ang biyahe mula Betty Go Belmonte hanggang Recto Station at pabalik.
Alas 10:30 ng umaga nang ipinatupad ang shortened operation ng LRT line at at alas 11:19 ng umaga nang maibalik sa normal ang operasyon.
Ayon kay LRT line 2 spokesperson, Atty. Hernando Cabrera, sa nasabing wire kumukuha ng power ang mga tren.
Paliwanag ni Cabrera, bilang bahagi ng safety at operation procedure, kinailangang matanggal ang bumalot na tarpaulin sa wire.
