Nailigtas na Agila, binigyan ng Japanese inspired na pangalan matapos ang pagbisita ni Prime Minister Abe sa bansa

Pinasalamatan ni Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa pagbibigay ng ‘Japanese inspired’ na pangalan sa isang nailigtas na agila.

Ang dalawang taong gulang na Agila ay pinangalanang ‘Sakura’ na Japanese word para sa cherry blossoms, na isang sikat na halaman sa Japan.

Sa isinagawang seremonya, sa Waterfront hotel sa Davao City tumanggap sina Abe at ang kanyang asawa na si Akie ng stuffed toy na Philippine eagle mula kay Pangulong Duterte.

Bukod dito, binigyan din ni Duterte si Abe ng framed photo ni Sakura.

Kasama din ni Duterte sa naturang seremonya ang common-law partner niyang si Honeylet Avanceña, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea at Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III.

Si Abe ang kauna-unahang head of state na bumisita sa hometown ni Duterte at maging sa bahay nito sa Doña Luisa Subdivision sa Matina District kung saan nag-almusal sila ng mga kakanin.
