Itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Retired Senior Superintendent Benjamin Delos Santos bilang bagong Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) director.
Babalik naman si BuCor acting director Rolando Asuncion sa kaniyang nakaraang posisyon bilang BuCor deputy director for operations.
Ayon kay Justice Undersecretary for Communications and Media Erickson Balmes, kasamahan ni Delos Santos si Duterte at si Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II sa Lex Leonis fraternity sa San Beda College.
Ipagpapatuloy ni Delos Santos ang nasimulang operasyon ni Asuncion sa pagsugpo sa iligal na kalakalan ng droga sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
