Ayon kay President Raul Castro, pumanaw ang kanyang kapatid ng 10:29 ng gabi sa oras ng Cuba.
Hindi naman nagbigay na ng karagdagang detalye si Castro kung ano ang ikinamatay ng kanyang kapatid.
