NU muling nagkampeon sa UAAP cheerdance competition
Nasungkit muli ng National University Pep Squads ang kampeonato sa UAAP Season ’79 cheerdance competition na ginanap sa Smart Araneta Coliseum ngayong araw.
Ipinamalas ng grupo ang futuristic theme nito sa mga swabeng stuns at pyrmaids ng mga mananayaw.
Isang panalo na lamang ang kinakailangan ng NU Bulldogs para matapatan ang titulo ng University of Santo Tomas sa limang taong sunud-sunod na nanalo sa kumpetisyon mula 2002 hanggang 2006.
Ayon kay NU Pep Squad Coach Ghicka Bernabe, ““Our training was really hard. We did not let others take this away from us….Our team is fearless.”
Nakuha ng Far Eastern University ang ikalawang pwesto samantalang third placer naman ang Adamson University.
Ngayong taon ay hindi sumali ang University of the Philippines makaraang hindi tumugon ang pamunuan ng UAAP sa kanilang isinumiteng protesta noong nakalipas na taon.
