Balasahan sa mga opisyal ng BFP, may go signal na ng DILG
Binigyan na ng go-signal ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Ismael ‘Mike’ D. Sueno ang balasahan ng mga matataas na opisyal ng Bureau of Fire Protection.
Apektado ng balasahan ang 47 na key officials mula sa national headquarters, regional, district at city fire offices. Ayon kay sueno, ang reshuffle ay alinsunod sa probisyon ng Republic Acts 9263 o Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Act Professionalization Act of 2004 at implementing rules and regulations nito sa rekomendasyon ni BFP Officer-in-Charge Chief Supt. Bobby Baruelo.
Ang aniyay “changing of the guards” ay karaniwang gawain sa BFP sa layuning lalong palakasin ang institusyon at maiwasan ang tinatawag na familiarity.
Pangunahing pinagbasehan ng balasahan ng mga opisyal ay ang performance, seniority, ranggo, training at maximum na 2 taon na tour of duty.
Sinabi ni Sueno na lahat ng mga apektadong opisyal ay kailangang i-clear ang kanilang mga accountabilities bago magreport sa mga bago nitong assignments.
Una nang inaprubahan ni Sueno ang balasahan sa Bureau of Jail Management and Penology noong nakaraang buwan.
