Reklamo vs Comelec at Smartmatic kaugnay sa pagbabago ng ‘script’ noong eleksyon, ibinasura
Ibinasura ng Manila Prosecutors Office ang reklamo na inihain ng kampo ni dating senador at natalong vice presidential candidate Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr., na nag-aakusa ng ‘tampering’ laban sa Commission on Elections at Smartmatic.
Ang reklamo ay may kaugnayan sa pakikialam umano ng Comelec at Smartmatic noong May 9 elections sa ‘script’ sa election server na layong manipulahin umano ang resulta ng botohan sa pagka-bise presidente.
Sa resolusyon, inabswelto ng investigating panel sa pangunguna n deputy city prosecutor Rector Macapagal ang mga reklamo laban kina Marlon Garcia, pinuno ng Smartmatic technical support team; Elie Moreno, Smartmatic project director; Neil Baniqued, Smartmatic team member at Rouie Peñalba, Comelec information technology officer dahil sa kawalan ng sapat na ebidensya.
Lack of merit naman ang dahilan kaya’t ibinasura rin ng piskal ang reklamo laban kina Smartmatic technical support team member Mauricio Herrera, Nelson Herrera at Frances Mae Gonzales na mga kawani ng Comelec.
Matatandaang naghain ng reklamong paglabag sa Cybercrime Prevention Act si ex- Rep. Jonathan dela Cruz na dating campaign adviser ni Marcos laban sa Smartmatic at Comelec noong May 24.
Ito’y dahil sa kontrobersiya noong araw ng eleksyon nang palitan ng mga tauhan ng Smartmatic ang isang bahagi ng ‘script’ ng server upang palitan ang isang letra sa mga pangalan ng mga kandidato.
