Dating San Juan Vice Mayor Zamora, at ilang dating konsehal, sumalang sa arraignment sa Sandiganbayan

Binasahan na ng sakdal ng Sandiganbayan si dating San Juan City Vice Mayor Francis Zamora at iba pang co-accused nito sa kasong kinakaharap sa anti-graft court.

Ito ay may kaugnayan sa kanilang kasong malversation of public funds, na isinampa ng Office of the Ombudsman.

Sa arraignment, naghain ng not guilty plea si Zamora, maging sina dating San Juan City councilors Rolando Bernardo at Angelino Mendoza.

Ang mga dating opisyal ay mga kapwa akusado ni dating San Juan City Mayor at ngayo’y Senador JV Ejercito, dahil sa ilegal umanong paggamit ng P2.1 million calamity fund ng siyudad upang bumili ng mga mamahaling armas noong 2008.

Ayon sa Ombudsman, kwestiyonable ang ginawa nina Ejercito dahil wala namang kalamidad noong mga panahong binili ang mga armas.

Si Ejercito ay nauna nang nabasahan ng sakdal noong Hulyo, kung kailan naghain din siya ng not guilty plea.

Itinakda naman ng Sandiganbayan sa October 26 ang preliminary conference, habang sa November 10 ang pre-trial, at ang mismong trial ay sa November 22 at 23.
