Simbahang Katoliko, maglulunsad ng rehab campaign

Ilulunsad ni Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle ngayong araw sa kanyang Sunday Mass ng 10 pm sa Manila Cathedral ang archdiocesan-wide drug-rehab program na “Sanlakbay para sa Pagbabagong Buhay”.

Palalakasin ng Sanlakbay ang preventive phase ng Restorative Justice Ministry ng Caritas Manila (CM), na tumutulong sa pagpapagalinmg ng mga druig surrenderees at ng kanilang mga pamilya sa pamamagitan ng spiritual formation, counseling, livelihood projects, skills formation training, at arts, culture at sports activities para holistic development.

Kasama din sa Sanlakbay ang pagkakaroon ng paralegal assistance, religious studies tulad ng Bible study at catechesis, livelihood training, education, advocacy, social action and services at medical assistance.

Kasbahagi din sa Sanlakbay ang Center for Family Ministries, Psycho-Trauma Clinic ng University of Santo Tomas Graduate School, Department of Interior and Local Government at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Ang Sanlakbay ang tugon ng Simbahang Katoliko sa kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga ng Duterte administration.

Ayon kay Cardinal Tagle ang Sanlakbay ay tugon din sa pagdedeklara ni Pope Francis sa taong 2016 bilang Yea of Mercy.
