White House dismayado sa anti-U.S statements ni Duterte

Aminado ang White House na nababahala sila sa mga naging pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte laban sa U.S pati na rin sa kanilang lider na si Barack Obama.

Sa isang statement, sinabi ni White House Spokesman John Earnest na dapat linawin ng pangulo ang kanyang sinabi na kumakalas na siya sa U.S.

Ipinaliwanag ni Earnest na posibleng malagay sa alanganing sitwasyon ang 70-taon relasyon ng U.S at bansa dahil sa mga batikos at pabago-bagong pahayag ni Duterte sa ilang mga isyu na may kaugnayan sa kanilang bansa.

“Some of it personal, some of it offensive, some of it confusing, all of it walked back by senior officials in his government. So that’s the source of the uncertainty,” paliwanag ni Earnest.

Sinabi rin ng naturang U.S official na dapat ay maging responsable si Duterte sa kanyang mga binibitawang mga pananalita na nagsisilbi ito bilang bahagi ng foreign policy ng bansa.

Gayunman, tiniyak ni Earnest na hindi basta tatalikod ang U.S sa matagal nang bilateral ties sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.
