PNP hindi dapat akusahan ng police brutality matapos ang insidente sa US embassy rally – Lacson
Hindi umano patas na akusahan ng police brutality ang buong pambansang pulisya nang dahil sa insidente ng dispersal sa mga nagsasagawa ng kilos protesta sa US embassy kahapon, araw ng Miyerkules.
Ayon kay Senator Panfilo Lacson, hindi tamang sisihin o akusahan ang buong institusyon ng PNP.
Sinabi ni Lacson na ang lumabas sa video kung saan nakita ang pagsagasa ng police mobile sa mga nagpoprotesta ay judgement call ng pulis na nagmamaneho ng sasakyan.
Dagdag pa ng senador, posibleng nakaramdam ng takot ang pulis na nagmamaneho ng mobile dahil sa maaring pagdumog ng mga raliyista sa sasakyan.
“That was a judgement call made by one policeman behind the wheel of a police van who might have felt threatened by the possibility of being lynched by the protesters, and who impulsively drove the van wherever he could to avoid the dire consequences of his inaction,” ani Lacson.
Ayon pa kay Lacson, nagkaroon man na maximum tolerance o hindi, nagpasya ang pulis batay sa kaniyang sariling pag-assess sa sitwasyon.
