Panukalang 2017 budget, lusot na sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa sa Kamara
Aprubado na ng Kamara sa ikatlo at pinal na pagbasa ng P3.3 trillion na 2017 proposed national budget.
Ang botohan ay ginawa ng mga kongresista kahapon sa huling araw ng sesyon bago ang kanilang recess para sa Undas.
Sa botohan para sa House Bill 3408, 243 ang mga kongresistang bomoto ng pabor sa budget habang 5 naman ang tumutol, at 1 ang nag-abstain.
Isa sa malaking pagbabago sa budget ay ang pagbabalik sa kinaltas na alokasyon sa 65 State Universities and Colleges o SUCs at government hospitals.
Hindi pinalusot ng Kapulungan ang kinaltas ng Ehekutibo na alokasyon sa state universities and colleges (SUCs) at mga ospital ng gobyerno dahil madidiskaril ang serbisyo ng mga ito sa publiko.
Ang 2017 budget ay 11.6% na mas mataas kumpara sa pambansang pondo ngayong 2016.
Ang top 10 agencies na may malalaking alokasyon sa ilalim nito ay ang Department of Education, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of National Defense (DND), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), SUCs, Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Agriculture at Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
