‘Private armed group’, binuwag ng PNP-CIDG sa Valenzuela City
Sinalakay ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at PNP Highway Patrol Group ang isang compound sa Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City kaninang umaga.
Sinabi ni Police Chief Insp. Roque Merdegia, hepe ng CIDG Anti Transnational Crimes Unit, isinagawa nila ang operasyon sa bisa ng search warrant at dalawa ang kanilang inaresto, sina Jefferson Ledesma alias Dodong at Ben Ledesma.
Sa paggalugad ng mga pulis sa compound sa R. Valenzuela street, nakumpiska ang anim na shotguns, limang .38 revolver, isang .357 magnum, isang .9mm pistol at mga balam gayundin ang limang botelya ng molotov bombs.
Dagdag pa ni Merdegia, 19 iba pa ang kanilang inimbitahan dahil nasa loob sila ng compound nang isagawa ang operasyon at nagpakilala ang mga ito security guards.
Aniya sasailalim ang 19 sa verification, samantalang kasong paglabag sa RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) at RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives) ang isasampa laban kina Ledesma.
