Dumating na kahapon sa Mactan Cebu ang Lockheed C-130 Hercules type cargo aircraft na nakuha ng PIlipinas mula Amerika sa ilalim ng United States Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program.
Ang naturang eroplano ay ang ikalimang C-130 ng Pilipinas.
Ayon kay Air Force Spokesperson Col. Antonio Francisco, magsisilbing piloto ng eroplano ang kauna-unahang babaeng nasertipikahan bilang ‘pilot in command’ ng isang C-130 na si Major Marjorie Mukay.
Sa ngayon, bukod sa limang C-130, may tatlong Airbus Military C-295 medium aircraft at tatlong Fokker F-27 transport plane ang Philippine Air Force.
