Inatasan ng Court of Appeals ang Sto. Niño Parochial School (SNPS) sa Quezon City na ibigay na ang certificate of good moral character ng salutatorian na si Krisel Mallari.
Si Mallari ang estudyanteng nagsalita laban sa nasabing paaralan sa kasagsagan ng kaniyang pagtatalumpati bilang bahagi ng graduation ceremony.
Sa desisyon ng CA inatasan nito ang nasabing paaralan na agad ibigay ang certificate na kailangan ni Mallari.
Sa petisyon ni Mallari sa CA, sinabi nitong nakapasa siya at natanggap sa undergraduate accountancy program ng University of Sto. Tomas at tanging ang nasabing certificate na lamang ang kulang niyang requirement.
Sinabi ni Mallari, na hindi siya makakapag-enroll sa UST hangga’t hindi niya nakukuha ang certificate. Hindi rin umano ipinapaliwanag ng registrar ng SNPS na si Yolanda Casero kung bakit nito ayaw ibigay ang dokumento.
“It is of judicial notice that the UST starts its classes for the first semester anytime within the month of August 2015. In this regard, and considering the time is of the essence, this court reiterates its order that SNPS should issue a Certificate of Good Moral Character in favour of Krisel immediately upon receipt of this resolusyon,” ayon sa Court of Appeals
Kasabay nito ay inatasan ng CA si Casero na magsumite ng komento sa petisyon ni Mallari sa loob ng 10 araw.
Magugunitang naging viral ang video ng speech ni Mallari dahil binatikos nito ang aniya ay hindi patas na grading system sa eskwelahan. Ginawa ni Mallari ang pagbatikos sa kaniyang speech sa graduation ceremony./ Dona Dominguez-Cargullo
