House probe sa illegal drug trade sa Bilibid, sisimulan na; high-profile inmates at NBI official, ididiin si De Lima

bilibid de limaAarangkada na ang pagdinig ng House Justice Committee kaugnay sa illegal drug trade sa loob ng New Bilibid Prisons (NBP).

Sisimulan ang pagdinig alas 9:30 ng umaga ngayong araw ng komite na pinamumunuan ni Rep. Reynaldo Umali.

Kabilang sa mga naunang nakahanay na testigo na ihaharap ng Department of Justice ay ang ilang high-profile inmates sa Bilibid, at si National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Deputy Director Rafael Ragos.

Ayon kay Justice Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre II, kinumpirma mismo ni Ragos na noong nasa DOJ pa siya ay ilang beses syang nag-deliver ng P5 Milyon na drug money mula Bilibid.

Ang nasabing pera ay iniabot umano niya kay Senator Leila De Lima na noon ay justice secretary pa.

Sinabi ni Umali na magiging “fair” at “objective” ang gagawin nilang pagdinig.

Bagaman pinadalhan siya ng imbitasyon ay nanindigan naman si De Lima na hindi niya sisiputin ang pagdinig at hindi rin siya magpapadala ng abugado o kinatawan.

Maliban kay De Lima, imbitado rin sa pagdinig ang mga sumusunod:

• Persida Acosta, Public Attorney’s Office chief
• Police Chief Superintendent Rolando Asuncion, Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) officer-in-charge
• Dante Gierran, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) director
• Roberto Rabo, NBI superintendent
• Director General Ronald dela Rosa, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief
• Police Chief Superintendent Benjamin Lusad, PNP Special Action Force director
• Isidro Lapeña, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency director general
• Rosario Setias-Reyes, Integrated Bar of the Philippines president
• Arsenio Evangelista Jr, Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption spokesperson
• Benjamin Reyes, Dangerous Drugs Board assistant secretary
