Pangulong Duterte, umaasa na makakatulong kay Mary Jane sa pagbisita sa Indonesia

Umaasa si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na makipagbigay ng ayuda sa drug convict na si Mary Jane Veloso sa kanyang gagawing pagbisita sa Indonesia sa September 8 at 9.

Si Veloso ay nahatulan ng kamatayan dahil sa kasong drug trafficking noong 2010.

Ayon kay Migrante International Chairperson Garry Martinez, umaasa sila na ang pagbisita ni Duterte ay magreresulta sa pagkakaalis ni Veloso sa death row.

Aniya ang gagawing pagbisita ng pangulo ay nagpapakita ng political will at sincerity kaya na nanalangin sila na mabibigyan ng clemency si Veloso para tuluyan na nitong makapiling ang kanyang pamilya.

Bago nito, bibisita muna ito sa Brunei at dadalo sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit sa Laos.

Ito ang magiging kauna-unahang byahe sa labas ng bansa ni Duterte magmula ng maupo siya bilang pangulo ng Pilipinas noong June 30.
