Pilipinas, 20th ‘happiest place’ sa mundo

happyAng Pilipinas ay ang ika-dalawampu sa ‘happiest place’ sa buong mundo, batay sa Happy Planet Index o HPI report ng think tank New Economic Foundation o NEF.

Base sa naturang report, ang Pilipinas ay nakakuha ng 35.0 na HPI score.

Ang HPI score ng Pilipinas ay nakamit batay sa well-being kung saan 5 ang score ng ating bansa; life expectancy, 67.9 years; inequality of outcomes, 26 percent; at ecological footprint ng mga mamamayan. 1.1 global hectares per person.

Ang HPI report para ngayong 2016 ay kinabibilangan ng isang daan at apatnapung mga bansa.

Itinanghal na happiest place on Earth ang Costa Rica, na mayrooong 44.7 HPI score.

Hindi na ito bago sa Costa Rica dahil noong mga taong 2009 at 2012, nauna nang idineklara ang bansa bilang happiest place on Earth.

Ang nasa rank 2 to 10 naman ay ang sumusunod: Mexico, Colombia, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Panama, Nicaragua, Bangladesh, Thailand, at Ecuador.

At sinundan ng Jamaica, Norway, Albania, Uruguay, Spain, Indonesia at El Salvador.

Nakasaad pa sa report na bagama’t ang mga mayayamang western countries ay karaniwang binabansagang ‘standards of success’, hindi naman mataas ang rankings ng mga ito sa Happy Planet Index.
