Ipinakilala sa publiko ng Light Rail Manila Corporations (LRMC) ang kauna-unahang babaeng operator ng mga tren ng LRT line 1.
Sinabi ni LRMC Operations Manager Rodrigo Bulario na dumaan sa 40-day training course ang 26-anyos na Hotel and Restaurant Management graduate ng Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila na si Kathleen dela Paz.
Si dela Paz ay kabilang sa tatlumpung mga bagong train operators ng LRT line 1.
Ang LRMC ay kumuha rin ng karagdagang 105 station tellers at 25 na mga station supervisors.
Noong Setyembre 2015 ay nagsimula ang full operational control ng LRMC sa LRT line 1 na may rutang Roosevelt Avenue – Taft Avenue vice-versa.
Ang LRMC na isang private concessionaire ay bahagi ng consortium sa pagitan ng Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, Ayala Corporationa at Macquarie Infrastructure Holdings Inc.
