Chief Justice Sereno, sumulat kay Duterte kaugnay sa pagkakadawit ng ilang hukom sa illegal drugs

Lumiham na si Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kaugnay sa pagkakasangkot ng pitong hukom sa operasyon ng droga sa bansa.

Ayon kay Supreme Court Spokesperson Atty. Teodore Te, ipinadaan ni Sereno ang liham sa pamamagitan ni Department of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre.

Sinabi ni Te na nakasaad sa liham ng punong mahistrado ang kanyang saloobin kaugnay sa ginawang public declaration nito sa mga sangkot sa iligal na droga kabilang na ang ayon sa pangulo ay pitong hukom.

Tinanggap naman ng personal ng kalihim ang liham ng chief justice para sa pangulo.

Ilalabas naman ng Supreme Court ang kabuuan ng laman ng liham sa sandaling makakuha ng pahintulot mula sa pangulo at sa punong mahistrado.

Nauna rito, pinangalanan ni Duterte sina Judge Mopas of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Judge Reyes of Baguio City, Judge Savilo of RTC Branch 13, Iloilo City, Judge Casipli of Kalibo, Aklan, Judge Rene Gonzales of MTC, Judge Navidad of RTC Calbayog City, Judge Ezekiel Dagala of MTC Dapa, Siargao.

Sa mga nasabing hukom, nauna nang nasibak sa puwesto si Judge Lorinda Toledo-Mupas noong 2007 habang pinagbabaril at hanggang sa mapatay naman noong 2008 si Judge Navidad ng Calbayog RTC sa lalawigan ng Samar samantalang si Judge Rene Gonzales naman ng Iloilo Municipal Trial Court in Cities ay nagretiro na noong January 2016.
