Kasado na sa Martes, July 26 ang pulong nina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at U.S Secretary of State John Kerry sa Malacañang.
Sa advisory na inilabas ng Malacañang, dalawang araw mananatili sa bansa si Kerry kung saan ay magkakaroon din siya ng pulong sa mga opisyal ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Inaasahang magiging sentro ng paksa ang desisyon ng Permanent Court of Arbitration sa mga pinag-aagawang isla sa West Philippine Sea.
Nauna ditto ay nanindigan ang gobyerno sa naging desisyon ng Permanent Court of Arbitration pabor sa Pilipinas.
Laman ito ng pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga opisyal ng U.S sa ginawang courtesy call ni outgoing Ambassador to the Philippines Philip Goldberg kasama ang American congressional delegation sa Malacañang.
Kasama ring humarap sa mga bisita si Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana .
Sa nasabing pulong ay sinabi ni Duterte na non-negotiable ang desisyon at walang magaganap na bilateral talks sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China.
Bukod kina Goldberg, kabilang din sa kasama sa U.S delegation sina Senator Brian Schatz, Congressman Ted Deutch, Congresswoman Donna Edwards at Congressman John Garamendi.
