LP, hindi na sasali sa supermajority sa 17th Congress

Feliciano-Belmonte-0929Nagdesisyon na ang mga nalalabing Liberal Party o LP Congressmen na magkaisa para maging House Minority sa 17th Congress.

Ayon kay dating House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr, tatakbo siya sa minority leadership sa Kamara.

Pagtitiyak ang grupo nila ay magsisilbing ‘constructive minority’ at hindi magiging ‘lapdog’ ng Duterte administration.

Sinabi naman ni Quezon City Rep. Winnie Castelo na nasa apatnapung Kongresista pa, kabilang ang Partylist Solons, ang natitirang kaalyado ng LP.

Sa halip aniya na sumali sa tinatawag na super majority ni incoming House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, nagpasya ang mga taga-LP na manatiling iisang grupo para sa susunod na Kongreso.

Nauna nang sinabi ni Ilocos Norte Rep. Rodolfo Fariñas, incoming House Majority Leader, na malabo nang sumali ang LP sa supermajority dahil urong-sulong daw ang dating administration.
