Sumuko ang 44 miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa mga militar at lokal na opisyal sa Pampanga kahapon.
Ayon sa pahayag ng Northern Luzon Command, naisakatuparan ito sa pamamagitan ng anti-insurgency campaign ng militar.
Ito ay pinangunahan rin nina nina Sta. Ana Mayor Norberto Gamboa at Maj. Ericson Bulosan ng Civil Relations Service ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Kasabay nito ay isinuko na rin ng mga miyembro ng NPA ang kani-kanilang mga armas, at humarap kay Governor Lilia Pineda.
Nakasaad rin sa nasabing pahayag na mismong si Gamboa rin ay dating rebeldeng komunista noong panahon na si AFP chief Gen. Ricardo Visaya pa ang pinuno ng 69th Infantry Battalion sa Pampanga noong 2004.
