Hearing ni Imee Marcos ukol sa Duterte arrest nilangaw
METRO MANILA, Philippines — Mas marami pa ang mga senador kaysa sa mga dumalong resource persons sa pagdinig ng Senate committee on foreign affairs ukol sa pag-aresto kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Bukod kay committee chairperson Sen. Imee Marcos, dumalo din sa pagdinig sina Sens. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, Alan Peter Cayetano, at Christopher “Bong” Go.
Samantala, ang dumalo na resource persons ay Atty. Alexis Segovia at sina Atty. RJ Bernal at Atty. Ferdino Logie Santiago, kapwa mula sa Securities and Exchange Commission.
Bakante ang mga upuan na inilaan kina Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr., Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, at Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

Hindi na rin sumipot sina National Security Adviser Eduardo Año; ang hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na si Gen. Rommel Marbil; ang hepe ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CidG) na si Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III,; at iba pang opisyal ng PNP at Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Sa kanyang paunang pahayag, kinuwestiyon ni Marcos ang hindi pagdalo ng nabanggit na mga opisyal.
“Ang katotohanan ay parang anino, kahit saan ka tumakbo nasa likod mo. Walang liwanag kung walang magpapaliwanag. Secrecy na ba hindi transparency? Maari mong iwasan ang pagharap ngayon pero dadating din ang araw ng paniningil,”sabi ni Marcos.
Iginiit ng senadora na hindi maaring ikatuwiran ang subjudice rule dahil in aid of legislation ang hearing kayat walang nilalabag ang Senado.
Unang sumulat si Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin kina Marcos at Senate President Francis Escudero para ipaalam ang hindi pagdalo ng mga opisyal na nasa ehekutibo dahil sa executive privilege.
